- LAND
- Farm is tiled; says still repairing and adding tiles. Take care with telephone underground wires, truck weights. Expensive.
- FARM FACILITIES
- Built rail corn cribs; describes use. Slats are more permanent. Then had Morton metal crib. Usually did not fan clean grain.
- FARMING METHODS
- Noted red clover grown & second crop turned under. Timothy used for horse feed & only fertilizer was manure. Getting 50-60 bushels of corn per acre was very good yield. Rain at right time is a must. Corn this year, oats next year, then wheat, the clover.
