RECOLLECTIONS
She gives her attitude & feelings, which are mixed, towards women's movement. Unfairness of women getting paid less that a man for same job. States that some women just work to get away from children. "Backbone of America was our homes." "Father is supposed to be the head of the family…" Attitude towards family & raising children. "Women are very capable." Her daughter drove a binder & worked many jobs on the farm. Doesn't understand getting bored with children. Discussion of good day-care centers that prepared great-grandchildren for school. Wonderful that men today help in kitchen. Her husband was always working to hard to help much. "Not everybody does the same thing, you know." Married people share each other's problems & fun. Her husband handled all the finances.
