- RECOLLECTIONS
- Mrs. Saiter gives feelings about her experiences since her husband died. "It was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me." "My goodness! I wouldn't trade anything for the experience." Believes she was limited and hindered by growing up in rural area.
- ACTIVITIES
- She tries to describe "tatting." Made first appliqué-quilt for her daughter. Lists designs of quilts made for daughters & grandchildren. Designs included tulips, poppies, etc. Made many pillowcases. She did sell some pillowcases. Mentions making great-grandchildren clothing & quilts. She couldn't do that sewing & quilting work now because she could not see well enough. Mentions how most people to not use quilts these days because houses are so much better heated.
