- After halting trip & entering a house, Gray tells story of a fellow who ran the water tank for a threshing outfit. Had trouble getting water because streams were low. He took off his clothes to dam up stream.

- Describes the Melin family and being a lawyer. One lawyer did not believe in working hard.
