REFLECTIONS
Thinks he would be considered a middle age farmer 30-40 years ago. Today he sees himself as a young farmer, even in his early forties. Sees farms as bigger years ago with acres, today the farms are getting smaller. Sees trends in farms as more of a negative & wishes it was going a different route.
FARM ORGANIZATIONS
Talks about the Illinois Soybean Association. Important farmers get their voices heard. Got elected director of the Illinois Soybean Association Board. Talks about the check off fund.
GLOBAL ECONOMY
Wrote a book 'How to do Business in China'. Travels to China to do business with them about soybeans and agriculture. Says China is one of their biggest buys since soybeans are exported, along with sending to other Asian countries. Talks about aquaculture, the farming of fish, in China. Need to be able to trust each other.
