- Mr. Ridley is now being interviewed. Discussion of differences in Mine #9 & Mine #53 & production capacity of machinery. Mention of Mine Wars. Mr. Ridley was a mine boss. Description of mine work after strike - filling cars, hoisting coal, etc. Progressives did not want the strike ended. Opinion was that if strike had lasted 2 more wks miners would have gone Progressive. Mentions soldiers in towns during strike. People did not go to town much during strike.
