The World Trade Organization tries to set rules for trading, but not all countries are part of this organizations(Russia, for example). Many countries don't want to let Russia join.

LIVESTOCK
When Phillip was a kid they would raise their hogs outside and they would round them up on Sundays to take to the market. No heated buildings, high death losses. Now they have heated buildings. Improved genetics have cut the amount of time it takes to raise a pig to maturity almost in half. Milk cows also produce thousands of more pounds of milk annually due to genetics. 40 years ago, his dad was raising about 500 hogs a year. Now they raise about 5000, and that is a smaller operation.
