Pills put into spoonful of jelly. Grandmother gave her a physic (syrup of pepsin) every Saturday night. Refers to bedpan as a slop-jar. Turpentine used in home remedies. Her grandparents made a medicine that they sold. Gives recipe that included, linseed oil, coal oil, & tallow.
