FARM EQUIPMENT
In 1934 the model A was introduced, first row crop tractor. Was built until 1952. Multiple places for conneting implements. Steering was manual. Hand clutch. Very responsive turning. The next item is the Model B, made in 1935. Filled the niche for smaller farmers. Front wheels were available as discs or with spokes. Hand breaks on each side. Steel seat with a spring for operator comfort. In the 1940s there was a factory in Dubuque, IA. They built smaller, vertical framed tractors. In 1910, Deere purchased the Van Brunt Company in Oregon, WI. That is where the lawn and garden tractors are made today.
