- FARM BUSINESS
- Stephen Scates in his store talks about strawberries. They only sell a little to the local community. Strawberry season begans around May and are handpicked. They also sell asparagus, onions, radishes, tomatos, cucumbers, bell peppers, squash, and Shawnee sweet corn. The shop sells mostly fruits and vegetables.
- LAND
- Mr. Scates shows the wheat field and his parents farm home. They have rented the land since the 1950s. There are several historical markers from the Civl War Era. There is also the horse and cattle pastures. Mr. Scates shows thoroughbred horses and talks about soybeans.
- LAND MARKS
- The cemetery is shown. Mr. Scates brother and great-grandfather, Henry Scates are buried in the cementery. Henry Scates fought in the Civil War in the Cavalry and was captured and then discharged from the army.
