John Marshall Home Museum is looked at.
ENVIRONMENT
Grain is sent down river. Bridge was built in 1957. Before the bridge people crossed the river by ferry to get to Kentucky. There's a levy and in 1937the water came over the concrete wall. The water has come over the wall in 1913, 1937 and 1898.
FARM HOUSE
Mr. Scates shows his son's farm home. There is a small two room house in the back. The farm house was built in the 1940s. There is also a grain storage facility.
FARMING METHODS
Mr. Scate's nephew sprays anhydrous and while his brother plants corn. The Wabash and Ohio Rivers are nearby. Anhydrous helps produce a larger yield.
