FARM FACILITIES
Ed shows a warehouse where all the produce is shipped from. If it has a yellow label it is organic, conventional produce has a white label. They grow about 20 types of herbs. Some produce is shipped in from California, and some is shipped in from China. They keep the warehouse cool and humidity low. They have freeze dried cherries from Michigan, and bananas from South America. Most of the produce they ship is shipped in cardboard boxes. Cans are shipped to wholesale buyers. The boxes are 20 to 40 pounds. In the facility they ahve a machine that fills cans.

Most of their fields are irrigated by center-pivot. There is a lot of hand labor doing the weeding. They have many workers who are from Mexico but live in Illinois now.
