- CHILDREN'S EDUCATION
- Bev lists her three sons' names and ages. Discusses their school a bit, range of area where kids live who attend the school. Guesses at the number of students who attend, tells about sports, facilities. The boys like soccer, math.
- CHILDREN'S WORK
- Boys farm work is field work in fall. Bev describes chisel plow, mold board plow. Spring tasks include cultivation & stalk chopping. Boys help with the planting. Bev tells about the importance of experience in the actual planting. Boys do 4-H-type projects with livestock. Tells of son Brad's work with hogs. Bought small feeder pigs. Tells what he did to care for and feed the pigs. Sold them for a good profit. Children also sell dressed chickens.

- Bev talks about raising chickens, cleaning the chicken house
- CHILDREN'S WORK
- Discussion of other children's chores like working in the orchard, mowing, & trimming trees. They have apple trees. Boys keep busy, especially in the summer. They help their dad with plumbing too & are paid for this work as well.
