- GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS
- Father participated in Soil Bank just before retirement. Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Benson's Soil Bank set aside a plot of acreage and not producing on it for government money. Warren was not in programs much during younger years in hog business because he would make more on open market. Mentions Set Aside Program and how farmers have to go with program make a profit.
- GLOBAL POLITICS
- Recalls Nixon's embargo to Japan. Jimmy Carter embargos & cause, Russia invaded Afghanistan. Describes how he made more money with embargo because of high inflation. Priced his crop and locked it in just before Reagan administration. Too much surplus of beans and corn today to make profit.

- Changes in farming and livestock from the 50's on his farm. Began selling veal calves and feeder calves. Out of dairy in 1955 too much work, not enough man power. Tells about turn to raising hogs. Hogs sold to Chicago livestock commission. Discusses transportation of livestock, plenty of livestock truckers to hire.
