- FAMILY BACKGROUND
- Relates that his parents came from the area of Lynchburg. Mother and her siblings all went to Fairview School. Locates residences near Wildwing Duck Club. Family story is that the Sarff ancestors came to the United States as English prisoners (from Germany), but is vague on that. Grandfather may have come from IN in a covered wagon. Lots of Sarffs in Dakotas. The Sarff picnic tried to invite Sarffs from other states, but it has dwindled.
