BEEKEEPING
Was interested in stray swarms of bees until 1910 when he caught a swarm on a branch. Describes the process of catching stray swarms of bees.
FAMILY
Sister got a top knot pullet for her 6th or 7th birthday.
WILDLIFE
Once had a terrapin come to the house daily to eat melon rinds. Also had a quail to whom they would give grain, and a squirrel to whom they would give nuts. Spraying for insects may be killing some birds, but English sparrows are overpopulating, and some are living in the chicken coop.
