- CHILDHOOD ACTIVITIES
- Children played outdoor games. Was not allowed to go to dances, but did once, and lied to father about it. Mentions they had beer at the event. People thought nice people did not go to dances.
- FAMILY
- Gives ages & careers of siblings including law, & military service. Two sisters died, one of ruptured appendix.
- MARRIAGE
- Married at 22 in 1906. First date with Mr. Honey was on a sulky ride with another couple. Then he spent two years hunting in Colorado with brother. Came back and father put him in business classes.
- CHURCH
- Father sent seven kids to Methodist Sunday School and church while he cleaned out the house. Was baptized only after married and going to Christian church. Preacher had to pause when train went by.
