- CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
- School was old Grange Hall, a brick building. Only 12 students. Notes coming & going of farm laborers & their children. Graduated with people who had been neighbors. Mentions consolidation. Attached Duncan School to Grange Hall, a literal consolidation. Had German principle in high school.
- FAMILY FARM
- Father owned land & rented land. Father was only one of his family who wanted to farm & so his parents gave their farm to him.
- ACTIVITIES
- Too much work for hobbies according to Larry's mother. Father served on school board, was involved in farm organizations, church, etc., usually to keep books for the group. Notes ledger stating teacher's salary was mainly farm produce, not money.
- FARM WORK
- Worked for Prairie Farms & travelled over the country for Dairy Board.
